Stupid Sony Ericsson Mobile Phone

dear members, i had this Sony erricson w500i which i had brought from a grey market.........but then a day when i connected it to my computer using the usb cable somthing seemed to go wrong and it simply switched off........later while trying to switch it on a black and white dotted screen would apper and would simply hang.....i had even showed to it to the service center dude....he said that it was some software problem...but he couldnt fix it .............can ne1 help ???????thnx a lot.......

^ you bought it from Grey market . so you mightnot be having the proof of purchase . if you havethe Bill then contact consumer forum .try to findout if the mobile is a duplicate . And if it is original check if a new firmware is available ...

One should only buy from the grey market with the clear understanding that the electronic product can and will most probably randomly stop working one day. That day may come years later, or days.... that's your luck, and in essence the difference in price is the premium you get for taking such a risk.Your best option is to take it to the person you bought it from and tell him to get it fixed.... whether he takes any money for it and if so, how much, depends on your bargaining/arguing skills.

If it is only a software problem then it should be possible to fix it. There are shops that can install cellphone software.
