friends i just want to know tht bsnl ppl show uses (in 500 plan) as total excluding night n one as grand total including night...:ashamed:.so is there any use of tht data for us or for them..:wall:..i mean when 2-8 is free surfing then why to keep that record? n if they want to keep, they can, but why they r showing these records in data uses?? is there any need of them for us...plz reply....:O
 
users also need that total used data records for own calculations . some for self satisfaction - how much I have downloaded ? somefor calculating power consumption bills before they get actual bills ( this is done by noting the computer used timings ) ...
 
ohhh can u tell me how can i calculate my power uses using my downloaded data summary...is there any kind of mathematical formulation for that??...
 
power consumption is calculated from computer used timings .
it is not from data downloaded - total time of browsing internet
is taken from data usage portal ; computer powered on timings
(approximately) for other purposes added ... it is actually an
approximate calculation generally done by budget minded people .

power consumption calculators are available on net ( example )

title of this topic included 'stupid' word . we should never consider
our queries as stupid . knowledge never improves without a query .
 
It should have been better portrayed. As billed usage and Free time Usage etc. The current format or the headings make one confused and fearful, bsnl can adopt better charting & manipulation system for both user and themselves to bill. anyway, who will bell the cat ?
 
Does BSNL provide Session level data? If it does, then I am sure someone will come up with freeware utility to show data in better way.
