Strange problem

Need help guys...
My modem stops working as soon as i use my telephone. I have two parallel connections for phone and on one modem is connected via splitter. As soon as i use my phone when my modem is on internet stops working. Also I can hear noise in my telephone when modem is swithched on, it goes when modem is switched off. Called airtel support they eamined and said no issue with the connection.

Try your local electronics market or eBay. No idea about brand, haven't used one.

Is ADSL splitter and filter same?

Ideally, a filter has only one input and one output. Here - http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/DSL_filterI'm not sure whether you can use a splitter as a filter. In theory, should work. If you cant find a filter in the market, a splitter might be worth a shot.

thanks for your response.. i also put adsl splitter on my parallel line and its working fine now.

adsl spiltter is working fine for me.
