Strange Change!

I am using 849 NU plan and im yet another victim of MTNL's strange ways of working.

Things were fine before but from few days i started experiencing downfall in my download speed. I ignored i t for a while later i called up CUST SERVICE and they said that the complaint has been logged.

After researching a bit i opened 192.168.1.1 where the DSL speed should show as DOWNLOAD : 2 mbps and UPLOAD : 256 kbps.
For some damn reason its showing DSL Speed: 511/508kbps ( directly copy pasted from the router page )
I dont know how this happened.

Is it something from my pc or as usual its MTNL. What can be done now.

Try TCP/IP Optimiser from SpeedGuide.net :: Broadband · Cable · DSL · VoIP · Security · Network Tools

Increase or decrease RWIN value.

CHANGE DNS TO 208.67.220.220 AND 208.67.222.222
Please report result.

which exchange even i am getting synced at different download speeds for the past few days,my exchange is at wadala

and yes i have filled the online complaint thing... still waiting for thier reply... have already made numerous calls to 1504 and have spoken to dozens of idiots :madness:
 
i am also on the 849 NU plan & form the past 5 days getting pathetic speeds.also noticed that the speeds gain back to 1.8 Mbps i.e. 200KBps + on link-removed only after 0315 hrs daily. after that i get max speeds, but around 0030 hrs when i connect the speeds on speedtest showed results to be around 480 Kbps due to which downloads form link-removed reduce to 10 Kbps. needless to say that torrents dont gain any speeds.connected to thane exchange.one thing is for sure guys, sumthings realy wrong at the whole of MTNL mumbai. even my cousins at goregaon are facing the same problem .
 
Gave a online complaint yesterday got a call today spoke to the guy concerned,told him about the prob.. and the best part he says the syncing of the router has got nothing to do with downloading or uploading speeds😕,by the way now it has synced properly at 2048kbps down and 256kbps up
 
now my router also shows proper 2045 download... the problem is solved... proper sync has to do everything with the speed according to me... coz when my router was synced @ 511 kbps i used to get speeds according to that only no matter what...
