I guess this question might have been asked a tons of time here but plz ignore dat nd HELP ME!!!

i want to forward port for counter strike 1.6 nd already tried portforward.com tutorial but that did not helped!!!
i need to know in virtual server- in application what should i write [counter strike or hlds, (i want to make a dedicated server)] and beside that what option should i select (ftp, ssh etc or should leave it blank)???
i wrote in local ip 192.168.1.2,,, is it correct???
i had port fwded for utorrent nd checked port at Open Port Check Tool,,, its saying port is forward but for counter strike port its showing error!!!
PLEASE HELP!!!🙁

Application name can be anything nat virtual server(Router page>advance setup>NAT>Virtual server).Start & end port should be same if only 1 port is to be forwarded. & local ip should be 192.168.1.2 as u said.to check whether port is forwarded or not , open application (counter strike) then minimize that application . RUN>cmd>type "netstat -a" without quotes. see weather the port is in listening state or not (ur computer name😛ort number).or try nmap tool.

netstat -a shows for my utorrent port 47400 is listening but FOR CS 1.6 port 1200 it is showing in front *.*!! what does this mean?? i know my utorrent port is forwrded but still not able to fwd my counter strike 1.6 port!!
i want to create dedicated server and here is what is filled---->>>

Application name dosen't matter as i have same port used by my utorrent & Vuze torrent client (where application is shown), blank should be left empty unless u know which transfer protocol it used by the application.
& choose a port between 49160–65534 range as they are unallocated. rest of some are system allocated ,(27015 default port for CS 🙂 ). Check some common ports used by cs servers Counter-Strike Servers in India | Server / Player Search | Game-Monitor.com :: Server Search, Monitoring, Stats and more
check ur firewall if it ain't blocking ne connection frm hlds.

run>cmd>netstat/?
gives u all command parameters as shown Microsoft Corporation

netstat -p udp
should show cs if it's hosted by u & running in the background.

Listening port are open ports . your port should be shown there.
Since i don't have a valid steam account i can't simulate to host cs.

i tried port 49999 [ as u told me to select unlocated] after putting it in virtual server list without any application name!!!

i even tried simple port forwrding software and forwarded a port using it but no use!!:icry:

bro i becoming really helpless... plz if u can have a look in this matter dat would be great!!

we can connect by TEAMVIEWER any time u say n u just give a check in my pc!!!??? plzzzz🙁

PROBLEM SOLVEDapplication name does matter..... in application i selected HTTP_SERVER from the options beside and YES i did it!!! i m happiest man on earth,,,, n i m non steam user!!!now i had created my own server.........:wewin::impissed::rofl::wewin:if any needs help... may b i can figure it out!!!
