Yes it does have AHCI & enabled. It's actually the smart tab not the ATAIDE mode. Native IDE + SMART ENABLED = AHCI

LMAO! only thing i could think of saying was " u got be kidding me " haha
thanks again 🙂

No! Sorry i got mixed up with amd & intel boards. Your mobo doesn't have a ahci mode. It's actually ide legacy ide native. A bios update may bring in the ahci mode. Check if there is any update available for this board. The SMART feature in intel mobos is for hdd diagonisis. But the same is different in amd boards ...

ya i was sort of wondering the same seemed pretty unlikely it would have AHCI.
I checked on the net doesn't seem it will support it BIOS update and all don;t want to get into it heh.
will just run it in IDE mode for now I guess. Hopefully should install fine, Thinking of win 7 ultimate.
Can i use my existing cables from WD 7200 installed for this SSD ?

Yes, SSD will work OK in IDE mode. Trim feature works too as long as you have windows 7 or 8. You will just have slightly slower read/write speeds than the full potential speed of the ssd.

got the SSD installed today. Feels great. System pretty fast and responsive, as good as new !
I checked in WIndows 7, the TRIM feature is automatically on.
Do i need to do it manually too now ? Its on IDE mode I think.
