Sports 18 on D2H for Fifa World Cup 2022

Hi,
If I understand correctly FIFA 2022 will be aired live on Sports 18 channel but I suppose this is not available on Videocon D2H which is what I have.🙁
There's no clarity if D2H are going to add it before event starts.
Does anyone have any idea what can be my other options like any OTT subscription etc where it can be watched.
Otherwise this will be for the first time in my life that I won't be watching FIFA world cup live!

I think you need a Jio number for that! Does Jio prepaid number is like any other SIM card that fits into any android phone? I don't know much about Jio as such!

Yes, Jio SIM is like any other SIM.
Not sure whether Jio Cinema needs Jio number now, as Reliance Jio has transferred ownership of this Service to Viacom18.
Viacom18 is also owned by Reliance.

Will it be only Jio Cinema? Not Voot? Bit confused if should get it, as there is some confusion on IPL too - that it will be a different platform as well.

I think by the IPL time, Jio Cinema would be integrated in Voot or converted to some Sports Broadcasting OTT platform. After paying so much, they obviously won't be showing IPL for free.

Right, voot by itself now has 2-3 tiers. There is some talk about a new platform with paramount+ as well. Maybe a high priced khichdi.

Just to confirm to you all, on Jio Cinema users of Jio/Vi/Airtel/BSNL can just login/sign up using their respective sim cards and stream The upcoming FIFA World cup for free at no extra cost.

Earlier when I used to go to Jiocinema site it would ask Enter your Jio number to login. Now it just says enter your mobile number and you get the OTP on it even if it's not Jio.
