hello all, im facing speed problems in my connection. I've been using bsnl 2mbps connection for atleast 2 months now, but i dont get proper download speed though internet explorer, it goes to hardly 6-7 Kb/sec. But when i download something from torrents it works good, approx 170-180 KB/sec constant speed, any help regarding this issue, why im not getting proper speed in internet explorer 🙁

thanks for your suggestion, but i've tried re-installing the OS before posting this problem but speed problems still remain same!!

Not exactly modem related question.
Since torrents work OK, suggest use FireFox browser.
Clear your system of all old temp files etc
Crave Worldwide - Essential stuff download free
Disksweeperfree 2 . clears all junk safely. I use it regularly.
select 0 byte/ignore system/hidden files.
ccleaner from wwwfilehippo.com
Advanced Windows Care Personal from Computer Repairs Free Software | IObit | Computer Repairs Service | Onine Computer Repair
Try the memory cleaner under tools also.

done that too, i clean IE cache, temp files from time to time 🙂

Try Firefox or Opera.

same problem also here mate, i dont get any speed from any browser, but my download and upload speeds in torrents are fine:ashamed:

there r many reasons u can get less download speed in IE or any other browser..first u need to know this..when u download something with any explorer, the explorer concerned makes only a single connection to the download file..but if u use torrents/download acclerator etc they make several multiple connections to the single file or multiple connections to multiple files with same content..therefore u get low speeds when downloading from explorer...and high speeds from torrents etcanother reason might be the server from which u r downloading which may be limiting the download speed..there are also many other reasons...

In flashget i get max 40KB/sec download speed per single file
and if i download 5-6 simultaneous files .. total speed i got is approx 190-200KB/sec .. and i've optimized my tcp/ip connections mentioned above .. but no use .. and also tried installing fresh windows .. but same prob again 🙁
