Speed MANI or MANIAC.... 256 UL

This morning i restarted my modem (i dont know if it's got ne thing to do with that)

and my DL+UL went up to almost 50 KB sec

On torrents i have been capping the UL speed to 5 KB and my DL has always shown some thing around 28 so it totals up to 33 which makes me HAPPY

Below are 3 screen shots.....

After the restart i capped the UL to 1 but the DL didnt pass 30 but on un capping the UL the UL went upto 28 simultaneously with a DL of 28

WHATS HAPPENING......!!! ......???

both upload and download speede are 256 kbps so you are getting original speed my upload goes above 60 some times (only for some seconds) m also on UL 750

but isnt the total suppose t be within 256..... On airtel it is not like this...... UL+DL is 256.....!!

in BSNL it's UL+ DL 256+ 256 so total 512
