Big Win for Sony Sports. And big loss for Star.
So now basically Sony lost IPL and got Australia right, Star lost Australia and got IPL.

With this acquisition, Sony will have rights to six cricket boards. It already owns the rights to Cricket South Africa (CSA), Sri Lanka Cricket, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) and Zimbabwe Cricket.

Sometimes its better that rights are split across networks ... if not anything..to restrict monopoly.
For the price conscious it may be a loss as there might be need to subscribe to two networks instead of one

When Sri Lanka rights are with them, how come Discovery Dsports got the nidahas trophy.

I was thinking same that Sony would be broadcasting Nidhas Trophy is Sri Lanka.
I guess these Trophy has nothing to do with Sri Lanka Cricket Board as it is organised for Sri Lankan Independence day anniversary.

But SCB would still be organizing it - Its not like its a benefit/friendly tournament or something
