Sonu Nigam has trouble sleeping because of forced religiousness

not in his original tweet which was specifically targeted at mosques. he is probably ok with jagratas because he is a hindu (and perhaps because he made/make money from singing at jagratas).

the problem was the term forced religiousness. he could have tweeted generically that he was woken up by loudspeakers from nearby religious places. but he specifically mentioned forced religiousness. which is where the core problem lies. especially as someone who does live shows at venues potentially close to people's houses and religious events that go through the night. and of course his songs are perhaps also sung at weddings which also perhaps bother people's sleep cycle.

सोनू निगम के घर के पास वाली 'त्रिशूल' नामक इमारत पर रहने वाली लता सचदेव ने बीबीसी को बताया की उन्हें पूरे दिन कभी भी अज़ान की आवाज़ सुनाई नहीं देती.

वहीं पास की इमारत में रहने वाली महिला किरण वासन का कहना है कि उन्हें नमाज़ की आवाज़ सिर्फ दोपहर को कभी कभी सुनाई देती है पर सुबह की अज़ान आज तक नहीं सुनी.
