Hello Everybody

I was using Airtel Fiber optic Broadband in Bangalore last year.
Have permanently shifted to Coimbatore as Coimbatore is my home town and was using Airtel DSL Broadband here as well

But wanted to switch to ACT Fibernet and did the same and reusing the Airtel''s router itself after giving disconnection request,

Nobody giving clear-cut information on whether to return or keep the router which was provided by Airtel.

My connection has not yet been disconnected, but would be disconnected soon.
So, how do confirm whether or not to keep the router ?

What's the router model?

Do you know (maybe by checking your very first bill) whether you paid one-time purchase amount for the router, or does your monthly bill include a router rental charge? You can keep the router in former case or you should return it in the latter case.

Okay it's a modem/router which means you will not be able to use it with ACT. ACT requires a normal router with an RJ45 WAN port (ethernet), not an RJ11 WAN port (telephone line) which modems have.

I'm afraid you're going to have to buy a new router man.
