I am using airtel256 220bx modem unlimited plan. Earlier i used to enter my user/password to login but my friend changed it to the 'always login' state.Now whenever i attach my pc or laptop to the LAN card it automatically gets connected.Anybody knows how to reverse those settings so that i have to manually login.I will be grateful.🙂

Go to
IE-->|Tools--> Inernet settings--> conections
Choose Never Dial a Connection

er.. no.. i think you have to change your modem config profile (from the DSL modem config WAN page) to dial mode, instead of ethernet mode. don't know the exact settings you need to change. Best you call your friend, or as a last resort cc to help you out...

Sorry if I was wrong . I use Microsoft Virtual Adaper for PPPoe dialing and use Huawaei router(BSNL one) in bridge mode.I also once accidentally clicked "always use this connection" and it used to auto dial itself. That's why........ Dont know much about your dialers.........

@Hana2
It is OK. Just to prevent Dial up connection (56KB) ( if any)coming up automatically.
if a dial up connection with Telephone number was programmed earlier.
Para Two
To set up an internet connection click "SETUP" at top of the menu.
and follow the procedure.
