setting Netgear WGR614 BSNL broadband

I have purchased Netgear WGR614 v6 wireless router 1 year back didnt know how to configure.today bsnl adsl modem died,:madness:i am unable to setup connection with wireless router.do i require to purchase adsl modem again or WGR614 is enough?thanks in advance
 
You cannot use the router alone without a modem. Please check with the dealer whether it is modem cum router. If within one year of purchase, you can get a free replacement. Also, it is wise to use a BSNL modem as BSNL employee won't attend third party modem. A non wifi modem costs Rs. 50 per month rent and a wifi modem at 80 per month. For outright purchase, you can get them for Rs. 1,100 and Rs. 1,800 respectively.

You can buy a new or used adsl modem or( BSNL Rs 1100 +taxes)
a 3 in one ( BSNL Rs 1800 + taxes)

Power adapter problem/lightning/wrong plug inserted etc.
