Service call from Airtel

Was away from home n my dad picked up a service call that came from Airtel.The questions they asked have made be curious.... why?- Do you use Broadband?- Who uses Broadband, as in one user or multiple?- Your usage was low last month (but its incorrect, it was normal, avg to previous months)Hope, it was a simple CC call....

Why would Airtel ask that since they should already know if a customer is subscribed to broadband and know usage as well ?Probably a fake call from one of its competitors to harvest information for marketing their services.
