the USSD code to factory data reset a Galaxy S3 is *2767*3855# can be triggered from browser like this:
this will hard reset the phone, no user confirmation needed... #samsung #fail

Reports also say that this is not unique to Galaxy S III. Multiple Samsung's Android devices have the same issue. Cannot wait for rogue websites to add this code to their web pages :D

hah. one more reason to get rid of shitty stock software.just tried it on the note and it did factory reset everything without any confirmation. nice.

samsung is looking into the reports (as if it needs elaborate testing :D ). i guess updates would be rolled out soon enough considering the severity of the problem. microsoft would have been crucified if a bug in windows would have resulted in something similar.
