I have BSNL broad band connection with SmartAX MT 882 modem. when broad band is down I want to use account less dial up connection of BSNL. Can I use the same modem for that purpose and how to configure it? Thanks in advance.

I think we need a dial up modem for this purpose. Older PC have internal inbuilt dial up modems. Please check your system.

Your dialup modem 56K fax/voice modem will be
listed in Device Manager.

See the back of your computer. ( if Desktop)
A RJ11 port with line Phone will be seen,
if a PCI card 56K modem is present.

Create a Dialer with UserID
your telephone number
with std Code
and password you have selected.
( even IF dialer for BB also used. )

ADSl modem cannot be used for Netone connection.
But you can connect BOTH at the same time,
and if BB fails DialupNetone( or Sancharnet)
connection will take over.
