considering switching from PFSense now lol. This is very neat.

i'm going to try out routeros in a few days, will post my experience here. i've used routerboard before but haven't tried installing it on x86 PC yet.

thinking of setting up a openvpn docker container (as routeros doesn't support openvpn with tls auth) for surfshark.

First try, couldn't get it installed.

Mikrotik doesn't provide usb images so when I tried booting the CD iso from site it showed "no CD drive" or something like that.

Then I tried with net installer on 6.x version and that wouldn't boot for some reason in either uefi or bios mode.

Very frustrating. I'll try again tmmrw.

if anyone has installed routeros on an x86 machine without a dvd drive, please do tell how you did it.

Its some weird oddity with my mini pc it seems, i tried it on another pc and it boots just fine. :/
