Just a simple thread where you can put in the movies you think are worth watching. Linking to the Wikipedia and IMDB page would be useful as well.

I would start with: Fight Club (English)

weird? How so? IMHO it's an absolutely fantastic movie - the style, soundtrack, plot, acting.... everything.

Life is beautiful,Schindler's list,Children of heaven(Iranian),Forest gump,The color of paradise,Guide,Scary movie(1-4).

1. Memento
2. 12 Angry Men
3. The Usual Suspects
4. Witness For The Prosecution
5. All Hitchcock films, especially the following:
a. Vertigo
b. Rear Window
c. Psycho
d. Dial M for Murder
e. Rope
6. Merchant of Venice (Only for Al Pacino)
7. Se7en
8. Silence of the Lambs
9. V for Vendetta
10. American Beauty
11. Les Diaboliques (French) (NOT Sharon Stones's Diabolique)
12. Wall Street
13. Primal Fear
14. Conspiracy (Kenneth Branagh and Stanley Tucci)
15. Citizen X (Stephen Rea and Donald Sutherland)

Most of the above figure somewhere or the other on IMDB's Top 250.

While we are at it, why not some hindi and regional films:
1. Ek Ruka Hua Faisla -
Perfect remake of 12 Angry Men. Watch it for Pankaj Kapoor.
Director: Basu Chatterjee.

2. Sardar -
Early Ketan Mehta film. Superb acting by Paresh Rawal. Anu Kapur as Gandhi.

3. Nakayan Nayagan (Tamil) -
Kamal Hassan has never been better.
Was remade into Hindi as Dayavan which was rubbish. And before some one says it is a ripoff of godfather, it is based on the life of Varadarajan Mudaliar, a 1960s-70s Bombay don.
Director: Maniratnam.

4. Dombivli Fast (Marathi)
Although the filming and editing is somewhat choppy and the story is simplistic, watch it!

5. Dhyasparva (Marathi)
Amul Palekar directed this film on the life of social reformer Keshav Dhondopant Karve Raghunath Karve. Shows us that we were as hypocritical 100 years ago as we are now.

MY ALL TIME FAVORITES-1. Sholay2. Rocky (All Parts)3. 3004. The Departed5. Happy Feet6. Diamonds Are Forever7. For Your Eyes Only8. Freaky Friday9. Home Alone 310. MI211. High School Musical12. Wayne's WorldAnd "MUST NOT" MOVIES- Any Of The Harry Potters (Definitely)

@sneezymelonThat's really surprising as all the boyz/gals of your age are a huge fan of Mr.Potter. 😀
