We apologize for the feedback we provided regarding our bootloader policy. The response does not reflect the views of Motorola.
We are working closely with our partners to offer a bootloader solution that will enable developers to use our devices as a development platform while still protecting our users' interests. More detailed information will follow as we get closer to availability.
they said they would so something about it BACK IN JANUARY last year. i guess they are not going to change anything drastic until the google acquisition is complete which is probably just weeks away.
The XDA Developers are working on ICS... but its not funtional....like camera ,FM etc dont work. If we have a unblocked bootloader, the developers can build a custom kernel which can comple the drivers of motorola defy camera and other hardware to run it properly.
