since past few weeks, i am feeling pain in my dominant wrist . right hand wrist, due to excessive use of mouse during working on computer , just saw a doctor, he gave a pain killer and advised some exercise.but now i seriously worried and need help from all computer work related professional ppl including @chromy . please share as much information as possible here including any special mouse or whatever , which may help not only me but all ppl suffering from such problem. thankshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Repetitive_strain_injury i am suffering from this shit man.

Yes, its a problem. Even I try to exercise my hand a bit, whenever possible. Its not taught by anyone, but sort of a self forming habit because I had got pain before.

Excessive use is not an issue if you hold the mouse in comfortable angle, Change the angle of holding mouse..had same problem but after change of angle no problem at all. 🙂

please be a bit more specific

Almost any branded mouse would do for comfort, but what matters more is that your wrist isn't bent when you use the computer, either due to the keyboard or the mouse. Ensure it is horizontal to the ground, and both hands are converging in a straight line, not bent at angles.

well i must mention that i have wireless keyboard and mouse k260 logitech.

well yes my hands felt pressurized to the table as i have long legs and computer table is not the kind which can have my legs inside, may be that's the problem.

YOu must practise yoga.

I am using computers since 1998 and i never have suffered strain as i practise yoga
but lately i am having back pain as i have started playing games since jan 2012 .The only recourse is yoga.

Try getting one with Ample Leg room. It is crucial for the posture of the body.

I too suffer from severe pain in the right wrist, elbow and shoulder. I try to mitigate that pain by using the mouse by left hand, using hand grips, Perform wrist exercises like lifting the hands upward so that they bend at the wrist, ETC

too cool so have you bought the items that i recommended and are your hands paining?

Also i bought this keyboard

cost me 2800rs.
