Hai all,

Here i am attached the Re-location policy for sun dth.

Business Process Guide

Phase I


1. Procedure for Shifting of Sun Direct Service to a New Location.

In all cases of shifting or relocation of residence, the subscriber has to provide a written request to the Distributor. On receiving the written request from the customer for shifting, the distributor shall fill the Shifting work order form and shall arrange for dismantling the dish and accessories.


1.1 In the event the subscriber shifts his residence within the
existing distributor’s area:

On receiving the written request from the subscriber for shifting:

Ø Distributor shall explain the subscriber about the shifting procedure and the charges towards dismantling (Rs.100/-) and towards installation
(Rs. 300/-).
Ø Distributor shall request the Subscriber to fill the new SAF and collects the relevant shifting charges.
Ø Distributor shall collect the new address proof and inform call centre about the new address of the customer.
Ø Distributor shall depute his technician to dismantle and collect the dish and other accessories leaving the STB and Smart Card with the subscriber.
Ø The subscriber shall carry the Set Top Box and Viewing Card to his new location.
Ø Distributor shall install the same in the new location.
Ø Distributor shall submit the new SAF and shifting WO to the concerned Zonal Technical Manager.



1.2 In the event the subscriber shifts his residence to an area
outside the purview of the existing distributor / Same
State but different district:

On receiving the written request from the subscriber for shifting:

Ø Distributor shall explain the subscriber about the shifting procedure and the charges towards dismantling (Rs.100/-)
Ø Request the Subscriber to inform call centre about the new location and receive from the call centre, name and address of the distributor in the new location.
Ø Existing Distributor shall fill the shifting Work Order and shall depute his technician to dismantle and collect the dish and other accessories along with Rs. 100/- towards dismantling charges and shall leave the STB and Smart Card with the subscriber.
Ø Distributor shall request the subscriber to carry the STB and Smart Card to the new location.
Ø Existing Distributor shall inform call centre regarding the shifting of the subscriber.
Ø On receipt of written request from the subscriber the distributor at the new location shall request the Subscriber to fill the new SAF and collect the installation charges of Rs.300/-.
Ø Such Distributor shall fill the Work Order and install the dish after verifying the address proof provided by the subscriber.
Ø Distributor shall collect the new address proof and inform call centre about the new address of the customer.
Ø In case the subscriber finds any difficulty in getting the new address proof the Distributor shall request the subscriber to purchase RCV worth Rs. 500/- or Rs.1000/-.
Ø The new Distributor shall send the SAF, Work Order along with address proof to the concerned Zonal Technical Manager.

1.3 In the event the subscriber shifts his residence to a different
State

In case the subscriber moves to a place where Sun Direct DTH service does not operate the distributor shall request the subscriber to return Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) along with all accessories to the Distributor from whom the service was obtained.

In case if the Sun Direct DTH service is available in the State where the subscriber shifts his residence the under-mentioned sequence has to be followed.

On receiving the written request from the subscriber for shifting:

Ø Distributor shall explain the subscriber about the shifting procedure and the charges towards dismantling (Rs.100/-).
Ø Request the Subscriber to inform call centre about the new location and receive from call centre, name and address of the distributor in the new location.
Ø Existing Distributor shall fill the shifting Work Order and shall depute his technician to dismantle the dish and other accessories and collect Rs. 100/- towards dismantling charges along with the dish and accessories and shall leave the STB and Smart Card with the subscriber.
Ø Distributor shall request the subscriber to carry the STB and Smart Card to the new location.
Ø Existing Distributor shall inform call centre regarding the shifting of the subscriber.
Ø On receipt of written request from the subscriber the distributor at the new location shall request the Subscriber to fill the new SAF install and collect the installation charges of Rs.300/-.
Ø Such Distributor shall fill the Work Order and install the dish after verifying the address proof provided by the subscriber.
Ø Distributor shall collect the new address proof and inform call centre about the new address of the customer.

Thnaks for giving the Useful information... I have one doubt.. If we move from one state to other state with in 1year (STB Guarantee period) of the Service taken and if any STB problem occur, The new distributor will take the responsibility of replacing with in that gurantee period??
 
Dear Ravi Don't worry about STB,where ever you go,that distributor will take carethis STB service,In else you will make a call to SUN direct Office044-43411434.
