Reliance, which will roll out its 4G telecommunications network next year, plans to integrate Siemens’ surveillance technology to secure public areas in the country, a statement released by the company at the time of signing the MoU said.




The company claims it has “designed and operates the world’s largest integrated security automation system consisting of over 12,000 cameras apart from tens of thousands of other advanced security sensors, radars and video analytics”.

The Maharashtra Government has announced plans to install 5,000 closed-circuit televisions across Mumbai. However, the task of collating the footage collected by the CCTVs is proving to be a tough task. “The work is delayed because we are still in the process of selecting the appropriate software to scan images,” Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan told reporters recently.

looks like reliance has gone mad with its 4G spectrum.Pay tv,survilance,education..this that looks like they will off-load the entire world on this 20mhz.Hope they remember that they have to provide Broadband services too and for that any amount of spectrum is always less(If they really want to go masses).

20mhz will provide good enough bandwidth from what i know for all of these services my friend, all these eduction, surveillance, pay tv & even more - most of these are intra network hence will not put a lot of stress on the network
