I am opting for BSNL Fiber. They are providing 600 GB Data at 50 Mbps at 849 and after FUP speed is 2 Mbps. Had Jio provided at least 4 Mbps speed after FUP I would have gone to them. BSNL has annual payment option too where one get 12 Months of service by paying 10 Months charge. If BSNL Fiber is available in your area chose them over Jio. 50 Mbps speed is sufficient for 99% users.
Buddy that offer isn't like that you would have to pay for 12 months straight up and they will give you the credit for two months In the next billing that's next year you may get two months free.. You will still have to pay upfront the whole amount plus gst for the current year.😁😁
Bsnl babus are clever too

companies like excitel has shown that you really do not need to pay for each GB of usage. partner with the most popular services, get direct peering with them. data on these services becomes cheap. majority of market would stick to youtube, hotstar, prime, netflix when it comes to heavy usage. you can basically bring your cost down for what 90% of the actual bandwidth usage... sure there is always going to be a small segment of the market who would be using VPNs so bypassing the local peered servers... you have FUP on your plans specifically for these users.

Is providing more data or unlimited data unprofitable for an ISP in India?
there are dozens of companies doing that including hathway so I think its proved that it can be profitable if you are not greedy.

Yes because there is a cost per Gb of data. This varies for domestic vs. International bandwidth in some cases. It is not a lot, maybe only a few Rs per Gb but if they make it unlimited then how will they make more money? They can price it by speed or by the amount of data. That's why they have different tiers so that they can charge more for more data. If they said unlimited no fup for 100 Mbps at 800 then not many people would pay more for higher speeds. So they want to control the data amount as well.
Most of the traffic would be peered like 90% which will be free or very cheap according to their agreements. People would be happy if they increase post FUP speed to 10 mbps, 20 mbps, 30 mbps .....or provide reasonable FUP.

Instead of focusing on internet they are forcing everyone to use all bundled crap which no one wants.

We have Only one Broadband Provider in our area DNA Infotel. No other provider not even BSNL. Top Speed is 50 Mbps with FUP 50GB after 2.5 Mbps at Rs.589. But Google, hotstar, Zee5, Netflix, Microsoft, Apple Website gets above 30Mbps even after Fup limit crossed. was waiting for JIo Fiber but no luck.

No Worries I Found Some websites where its hosted on Google websites....so God Bless America.......50 GB gone in 5 Days(Not Porn Just Netflix, YouTube and Prime video).

My Provider Says They have 10 GBPS speed to Google’s Data Center settled at Prabhadevi in Mumbai.
– A server farm through Google is placed in DNA’s location to raise the experience level of all customers.
– Akamai possesses likewise its server farm in DNA’s location which enhances the level of the user experience of GBPS Clients.
