a locked device would be enough. it's not like other operators are offering volte. someone posted that airtel had started testing volte in mumbai. haven't seen any update on that.

2G networks will continue for some more years until the govt orders it to be removed.

The phone affordability will create huge disruption, much more than the free offers because of it's appeal to the masses. Jio should be able to double their user base after launching.

The barrier for Bsnl and Airtel wireline users was the cost of a 4G phone .......... now the barrier is removed, there will be massive erosion of their user base. Who will pay 150 line rental per month, when for the same price, unlimited calls are available ?

Jio phone calls are perfect....... I get through the first time, good voice clarity and never had a call drop even once.

The data speeds however are a different story. :emoji_eggplant:
