It seems with firmware upgrade to R1.192

  1. users cant access to WAN settings
  2. there is no option to disable ipv6 all together.
  3. ipv6 DNS is till enforce even if ipv6 dhcp mode set to none.

please can anyone confirm this?

My router has not been updated since December on my ONT model JCOW401. How do you force a firmware upgrade?

BTW, this is what I see on the firmware page of admin:
Current Firmware Version - ARCTF1_JCOW401_R1.16
Current Firmware Date - Thu Dec 17 15:42:30 IST 2020

Some settings are hidden now and you have to search for it

I have JCOW401 as well, it's the same for me as well. WAN settings is hidden for me (have to use the search)

I had complained to Jiocare on twitter on not able to use Vowifi and they asked me to share details. Seems theirIPsec passthrough is broken in the router. Update -even with new firmware, unable to use the same.

Hi Guys,

I have the old white color Jiofiber modem. Their sales guy came to my house today and asked me if I want to upgrade to the new modem. He said I will have to pay Rs.1500 as the security deposit, and the Rs.4500 paid earlier for white ONT will be refunded.

Is this advisable to upgrade? Has anyone gone through the process?

Please advise.

i read somewhere in forum that the white modem which Jio initially provided to be the best one compared to all other modems jio has been providing, so better to stick with it unless u r getting something new specifically.
P.S. not my personal experience, just read in forum about this

I am not sure what to do. Maybe he is trying to cancel my old connection and register me as a fresh sale ??
