Regarding phone reqd 4 Dataone in Bangalore

Hi Everyone,I want to get a new dataone connection and I don't have a landline at my home. I went to the BSNL office to get the new telephone connection form and the form says that I need to shell out Rs 15,000(Security deposit) 🙁 in the OYT-General category for a new phone. Can anyone from bangalore shed some light on the security deposit, monthly rental for a landline? I don't intend to use the landline for any other purpose other than dataone. Isn't there a SULABH scheme available in bangalore? How much time does it take to get a phone installed?Warm regards,Asish
 
15k is just too much...now they give a new conn with ISD deposit for 5k and for local calls its 1000 (i guess). It cant be 15k
 
I dont know about a sulubh scheme but you can take a new connection in NON OYT scheme.You have to pay Rs 500 as a deposit with application form.For broadand you have to pay Rs 1161. you can pay as soon a you get a numberIn your first bill you have to shell out another Rs 2000 (Rs 2000 + 500 - 500)
 
If the 2000 indicates the cost of modem then let me correct that its 1200 now
