Regarding 3G data card

Hi All,
I am planning to have BSNL 3G data service in Bangalore.
I have few queries in my mind regarding the connection.
1) How is the speed? and compared with the other operator?
2) I am planning not to buy data card from BSNL. Does all the 3G data cards purchased outside supported by BSNL 3G? If so, which are the models supported?
Kindly do the needful by answering my questions.

3g services are not same everywhere, it changes area wise.... If one operator is good at my place its not necessary it will perform same at your place too. Yes you can purchase any company's unlocked device which will support all operators ....
 
and for the sake of your future pains please do not make the mistake of buying the DATA CARD from BSNL.
There are hell lot of them available on local shops, and on ebay and flipkart so make a buy.
Atleast in my town, BSNL provides 3rd quality data cards and they should be avoided if you don't want to buy another one elsewhere.
If your area has Good BSNL 3G Coverage check the max speed you can get and buy the card elsewhere, just put in the BSNL SIM and enjoy.
