Bad shit is happening to Internet now. Without Reddit, Internet feels bored.

Meh, r/India is well known for its overreactions. In the comment section itself, many people are claiming otherwise.

it might be blocked on ftth and not 4g. most people are likely to be on 4g right now.

Well, there are some comments for gigafiber itself which state its working and some say its not. It's most likely a technical issue. A few days back there was a post either here or on Reddit about Amazon and Flipkart not working on the gIgafiber. That issue was fixed iirc.

Fiber service is slowly expanding so it's possible there are issues with it.

hathway block of reddit.com was more or less restricted to their own dns.

Man, the state of internet is degrading day by day. Anyone familiar with policies have any idea if we can argue on some net neutrality grounds?
I know nothing much will happen but it will be worth a shot if everyone ISP started blocking websites without any proper reason.

It doesn't seem like being blocked intentionally, could be a configuration error too, maybe Reddit's or maybe Jio's

As can be seen above, depending on the which DNS server I use, I get different IP addresses. The 192.168.1.1 is my JioFI device, and the IP address retuned from Jio DNS Servers for www.reddit.com has some sort of routing issue when accessed from certain networks. Even my Spectra connection cannot reach that IP address, it goes through some crazy routing loops.

So it's quiet possible that DNS records returned when queried through Jio DNS Servers, are not reachable from certain networks. Those using Google DNS or something else shouldn't have seen any issues.

I swear to God Reddit is the shittiest "big" website.

Edit: The number of times, it either crashes or doesn't respond is too damn high.
