Railwire Broadband: New cheaper plans with more bandwidth

New plans update

Good news for railtel chennai users, they have launched new plans, (yet to reflect in their websites). Got this info from my LCO

The two interesting plans are

40 Mbps port speed with 60 GB data limit (1 Mbps post fup) for 999 INR + 15% tax

* Yes they have upgraded port speed of 999 plan, it was 10 Mbps earlier

20 Mbps port speed with 100 GB data limit (1 Mbps post fup) for 1092 INR (I opted for this plan, No info on tax since they charged just 1092 from my card)

@DNA_Uncut Edit : Great news!
Do you have any idea if 1437₹ plan is changed?

LCO has the new plan details in his system, just drop in there or call him to check the available new plan details and choose the one you want, I think all the plans have been modified (upgraded either the bandwidth or data, both)

Got the details from my LCO

1) 10 Mbps 80 GB 1034
2) 20 Mbps 100 GB 1092
3. 40 Mbps 60 GB 1150
4) 60 Mbps 100 GB 1437
5) 80 Mbps 130 GB 1724
6) 90 Mbps 100 GB 2184
7) 100 Mbps 200 GB 2242

Any info on the truly unlimited plans? Did they upgraded it or is it the same 4 Mbps for ₹2500? Railwire is feasible in my area I would gladly go for it if it's minimum of 8 or 10 Mbps.

Why would they decrease the bandwidth from 110gb to 100gb in 1437 plan, tbh more bandwidth for the same speed would have been a better upgrade.

At the moment i am in 110 gb @ 10 mbps for 1400 rs. So from next month i will only have 100gb, what kind of plans these are? Whats the use with the speed if you are going to decrease the bandwidth more and more. Very disappointed with Railwire !

My LCO said he hasn't got the new plan details and i am currently using 10 Mbps till 60GB plan.

Same here lco is clueless and they should seriously increase the bandwidth for all the plans or give true unlimited plans for lesser price

I called Railwire directly. The operator there told me that they are expecting an announcement by the end of this month. And, confirmed that something is on pipeline, but there is no confirmation yet.
