Currently i'm on bsnl home combo 500 plan 1.5gb limit (old plan) My usage this month so far is 1750mb.If i change my plan to combo 675 ULD plan, how will my data usage be calculated. I think rental will be calculated on pro-rata basis but what about data usage. Will I be charged for only excess 250 mb or will I be charged on pro- rata basis for data usage also because i am on a limited usage plan. If I'm charged on pro-rata for data, then i will get a bill for approx. 1250mb extra usage

CC says I will be charged only for 250 mb but I cant trust them. Can someone pls clarify.

I have done this way for getting more download limit.
i changed from 640ULD to 790ULD plan and then went back to 640ULD plan everything in the same month,
the rental is prorated, u need not worry about the rental.
everytime i have exhausted the FUP quota.
the only charge excess will be the rental, i got around 50-60rs rental more.

The only problem is you will be charged extra when you go to a higher plan, once you come back to the lower plan the rental charged will not be given back, the money gets stored in your landline deposit amount.

Thanks for your reply. I'm aware of pro rata billing for rental in unlimited plans. But my question is about pro rata billing on data charges when you move from limited to unlimited plan.

Can someone please throw light on how BSNL's billing system works in such a scenario.
