Primary DNS not responding when running diagnostics from modem

Hi All, I live in Magarpatta city Pune. From yesterday evening, my BSNL Dataone connection is down. When I open the DSL router and run the Diagnostics, all the tests pass but the Primary DNS server does not respond. I would like to know if other people in Magarpatta are facing the problem. Also, if there are alternate DNS IP addresses I would like to try. Please suggest. Thanks, Skanda Narayanan

Try open dns 208.67.220 220 and 208.67.222.222 ( Open dns)
Give modem details please.

I live at Kalyani nagar, pune and facing the similar problem since saturday.
I got some new DNS from net, but couldn't get time to try.

218.248.240.208,218.248.240.135.

It may work.

Taking a long time to respond. Are they OPENDNS type ?

No they are not of Open DNS
these ip's are of DNS Advantage (DNS Advantage
These are faster for me avg ping is about 270 ms
And avg ping of open dns is 320 ms


But pings differ from city to city so open dns might be faster for you
