PPPOE mode trouble: in portforwarding as BSNL automatically assigns dynamic IP address

You just need to ask your internet provider to give you a static IP address. If you cant get one you might have to consider using a proxy or a different Internet provider to get your static IP address.

Once you have done that try What's My IP? Find your Internet Protocol address here - it's quick and easy. several times and you will find that your IP Address is static if successful.

sphar.............i have solved the problem..long time back.........anywayz thanx for the help........and u dont need static Ip for port-forwarding.............u just need a static lan IP...........which anyone can set...for each computer.and it doesn't matter if the external IP ie WAN IP is dynamic..........ie changing everytime u connect.that's what has happened in my case.:thumbsup:

I've got a problem... Recently link-removed has this thing about IPs... And doesn't allow the same account to be used by different IPs... So... Anyways... Now my downloads on my download manager always stop for around 15-30 mins (or more) during my free download time due to the dynamic IP changes... (I think...) Could someone suggest to me what to do? I've got a Home 500C connection with a UT300R2U modem... Should I change my connection type into a static IP?Thanking You,BB

ip changes every 15 min???thats bad!!Do you face frequent disconnections??if so.. go to http://192.168.1.1 and post your SNR status

BSNL provides static ip for plans stating from 3000.. for that u've to submit a request form
