Im getting the same pings i.e 315-350 ms. Im using a Reliance 1 mbps connection from Pune. Though if it comes to routing, reliance is not your best option. Airtel and i think You broadband have significantly better routing (?)

I got minimum- 216ms, maximum-217ms, average- 216ms. On MTNL 1 Mbps Unlimited Plan.

Earlier i used ping site. I think it was testing server through its own source.

Now i used Ping from my command prompt.

Minimum - 212 ms
Max - 231 ms
Average - 217 ms

Indeed. I was quite surprised to see 50ms to Russia, assuming the host wasn't using a CDN.
