Please help me people

I have a sify 400 mb 256 kbps connection.I have a friend with unlimited sify connection and he does not use it at night.He has given me his id and pass but i cant log in with that.I get an error msg regardin mac id and ip address.We live in the same apartment.Can anyone pls Help me.I am DESPERATE.

change your mac and ip address to his

another way... change ur ip to his ... then call up customer care and tell them u bought a new machine and wish to access internet from both.. they will ask u to hold ... and 'bout 5 mins later u will b able to login with ur friend's id
