MTNL Mumbai Pinging 150ms to mumbai servers

Valve recently set up some TF2 servers in Mumbai, which is great. However, due to some colossal fuck-up on MTNL’s end, I’ve been pinging 150ms to them from within the same city. Ironically, this is higher than my ping to Valve’s Singapore servers (100-110ms). Does anyone else get similar pings to this server, and do I have any recourse?

I am pinging them at cool 10ms from my MTNL connection.

Getting 25-ish. My ping to Singapore was a nice stable 70-ish a month ago, and now it's spiking from 130 to 150. Pretty irritating. Can anything be done about it short of paying for a VPN?
