I am having this weird issue since January where my ping rises anywhere between 1000 to 3000 to the gateway as soon as I am using more than 1mbps. I have a 4 mbps plan but I have to limit my speed to 1mbps to avoid massive lag and disconnections in online games, YouTube also buffers a lot. When I called the technician and explained him my problem, he said that this is how it is supposed to work and my ping will rise when I am downloading something, watching videos or playing multiplayer games. He did nothing and left.
