Ping and speed Test fluctuates a lot recently

I am having a 749 Unlimited plan.
Previously my ping test(see my signature below) use to get "A" grade. and now it fluctuates from "B" to "F" and no "A" at all 🙁

Now what maybe the problem for this?? I am using MTNL phone(not internet) for last 10 years and the connection wire has not been changed since. And past diwali(2009) I got my internet connection. And recently when the plan was changed to double I started to have slow connection sometime and recently the ping test started showing such results.
Also my internet connection(Download speed) goes really low. Even the the speed test result varies.

See the above speed test, but actually I should get the speed result shown in my signature. Its really frustrating, the speed sometimes crawl like a snail :madness:

So what you guys think?? I have called 198 and other numbers and they may in few days change my connection wire....but let see. Their tone doesn't seem positive to work on wire(Lazy).
Is it only me or does anyone else facing the same problem???

Mine still fluctuates.....you are from Delhi....maybe thats why.
The wire-man came....but he said that if it was a prob in wire....and what if the wire from the exchange which is there from years get prob. So he didn't changed my wire. What can I do for such excuses they give....🙁

Well not online gaming but ping does affect online video streaming. And youtube and other such sites are my fav to surf 🙂

And I also showed the speed test result...its also fluctuating.

Lets see, some guy from MTNL said he will see everything on monday....so waiting for that.
 
well i had similar problem but mine was a lil diff..i used to get very high pings consistently...200ms from delhi..600 from chennai...nothing resolved that...then i removed my bb n booked new one..n everything is fine now..hope u wont need new connection can u tell me wats ur wan ip 59.177.x.x or 59.176.x.x on my old conn i had 59.176.x.xnow i have 59.177.x.x

can u tell me wats ur wan ip 59.177.x.x or 59.176.x.x

on my old conn i had 59.176.x.x
now i have 59.177.x.x
My WAN IP if I am right is 120.63.x.x

One other thing I noticed few days back was that when I use to do speed test on speedtest.net my default location was shifted to Delhi....I don't know it was site problem or MTNL. And if you see the screen shot provided above, you will notice that my PING if is taken from Mumbai server is higher than PING in Delhi server. I am from Mumbai....so how is that possible.
One more thing is that, that from the time I have had MTNL Net I haven't once logged in my MTNL account.....and whenever I try it says wrong password or user name(I use the correct phone and customer No.). I try with and without @a then also(I have tried both register.mtnl.net and that IP address one).
Sometime I think that I should remove this connection and book it again as you said. But is it has to do in a particular way or just call them and thats it??? What you did?????
 
k getting new connection will surely solve ur problem as far as my experience but u hav to remove the existing 1.. write an application for it..go to ur exchange n they will tell u required names n procedure..n also take ur modem(if its not urs), cd, ethernet cable(s),usb cable, spliteer too, basically all things whinch were installed by mtnl to exchange n deposit there..do this only in las week of month coz those lazy asses only deactivate at las days of month..n book it as soon as u get deactivated.. i wasted 26 days without internet coz i did this on 3 march n got call on 29 march asking wat was the reason of removing bb..u hav to find on 1500 whether ur bb is deactivated or not..try to go exchange if it wont...u can try 1500 for new connection..but i went to sanchaar hart n filled bb form for new connection..trust me they cant help u with ping or latency ...90% of them dunno wat it is...only few know n even they r irresponsible or no use..GL on ur quest :thumb:

Ya agree with that..and it is a sad part of it. I mean at least MTNL should employ people with some knowledge of networking and internet. The people at present are ok for the phone line work....but not at all for internet. Let us hope that one day this will change 🙂

Well I'm gonna call that guy tomorrow, if everything goes right then good....otherwise I'll go for the re-connection 😉
 
I had a 512kbps 999 plan that went up to 1MBps plan and my actual downloads were around 200+ kbps and Speedtest.net was 1.8 Mbps etc. Now its all freaking gone. Speedtest.net goes anywhere from .30 - 0.50 and few times 0.80 Mbps. Download speeds are non existant.. 10-30kbps.. almost like a 256k connection. I am based in Juhu/ Andheri area Mumbai with exchange :625What area / exchange are you guys?
 
dude same stuff happening here,I game online and on many servers where I used to get 40-60 latency now its 100+.So it's not only you....
 
Two mtnl guys visited my house, first they said maybe they will change the wire, but after checking here and there they said its server problem. So they said they will fax to the server office.....before 2 days, but my net still fluctuates....and now its a bit worst as the speed is not even reaching above 200-500 Kbps(which should be 752Kbps) most of the time. Shit yaar...hope this problem solves fast.
