Paypal GST

Paypal is asking for GST IN / UIN.
Is it required for accepting personal payments?
If yes then how to get it?
 
PayPal was asking PAN for accepting payments in India few days ago. Not GST from me.
 
basically... you can make payments without providing your pan card info. receiving info requires pan. gst might be involved while accepting payments internationally. cannot comment on that.

this is for the recently launched paypal support in india. not sure what happens to accounts that existed already.
