No wonders as Pakistan Cricket Board fails to woo channels for upcoming series | Indian Television Dot Com
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has come in for a massive and rude shock. According to sources, PCB has found no takers for its two upcoming series i.e the Pakistan vs Australia series and the Pakistan vs New Zealand matches to be held in the UAE this year.

The Board received bids from just two sports channels i.e PTV (Pakistan) and Ten Sports. The bid from PTV was rejected instantly because the bidding amount was far too less than what the Board had expected. Ten Sports on the other hand had submitted a bid amount of $2.9 million.

PCB, in lack of takers asked Ten Sports to increase its bidding amount, which the channel flatly refused. Sources say that the Board is surprised by the dwindling amount of interest shown by channels for cricket in the country. It remains to be seen what happens next.

LOL. I am not happy with you bid even though you are the sole bidder. Ten Sports should have lowered their bid. LOL.

Itni beizzati... ! BTW Ten Sports is now Indian channel as Zee fully owns it.

Here we go again

Gayle signs up for Pakistan Super League

Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo are some of the prominent players who will feature in the inaugural Pakistan Super League (PSL), a franchise-based T20 tournament to be held in Doha in February 2016. The players' interest in the tournament could stem a desire to be match-fit ahead of the World T20 which begins a month later in India.

PSL is in Feb, T20 World Cup in March & IPL in April/May... Relax for next 4-5 months, until BCCI finally decide on what to do with the Oct slot which used to be for Champion League T20...

There is also Big Bash preceding all this in December-January & Carribean T20 league in June/July....

If you are an A-List Windies player, there is way little incentive to put international cricket as priority - considering the salaries and effort that goes into it.

Starting on Feb 4 in UAE. So basically Masters Cricket League & Pakistan Super League are in sharing arrangements. MCL moves over to Sharjah after a stint in Dubai while PSL play in Dubai & later PSL goes to Sharjah while knockouts are played in Dubai for MCL. And then PSL comes back to Dubai for a final set of matches & the knockouts...
