Pain of getting a static ip from airtel

Ok, so guys how many of you are using static IPv4 with IPv6? Can you share the settings please? Because I tried several times and it refuses to work.

guys, for pppoe we use 1233567890_dsl@airtelbroadband.in replace d to dd in broa(d)band.in your internet will work even if no recharge.

Before _dsl should be your dsl id.

@Chip They removed my static IP but its still working, I have pppoe as well as static IP working, how is it possible? And yes getting ipv6 address using static IP with pppoe ipv6.

@nishantt6969 Sometimes Airtel's left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Good for us, no? 🙂 Just enjoy the ride while it lasts.

Yeah, this time not gonna ask them to remove static IP.

Ok so they hiked the static IP price to 199 + GST in my current bill. Called them and asked them to cancel it. I'll be on PPPoE within a couple of days with a dynamic v6 address. May take a static v4 later just in case I feel it's justified.
