Seen in the toilet of Mumbai-Pune trains."Do not use toilet while train is standing on platform"Since I never see the train standing ON the platform I suppose the toilet is fair game at all times.I think the problem is that they first write the notice in Hindi and then do a kind of literal translation.

"There was a Sardar Meeting in Punjab... When it was over, all the sardars were standing at the railway station.
There was an announcement that a train was coming, immediately all the sardars jumped into the tracks...they all died! There was ONE sardar standing on the platform, the reporter asked him, why did everybody jump? Sardar: I don't know! But i was trying to commit suicide, and when the announcement said "the train is coming to the platform", stood right in the middle of it.
