Not able to change Syrotech onu mode from router to bridge mode

I have purchased a Syrotech g/EPON ONU from bsnl to use with my Asus router. I am not able to change the modem mode to bridge mode. In fact, there is no other mode visble in the dropdown, there's only a router mode option visible. I have logged in to the router as an admin.

Some ONUs will be in bridge mode by default if no WAN profile is configured. Take a backup of the current config and factory reset the ONU. Then connect it to the Asus router and try configuring the VLAN and PPPoE in the Asus router.

If it didn't work, then you can restore the ONU with the config backup.
