We are lagging in deploying 3g as we lag in bb!not much to say,its all too static these days.....
 
^ according to Dayanidhi Maran , 3G will be comingsoon . spectrum decisions will be taken in 3 months .
 
I think it'll b lauched in 2008.... till then stay on 2.5G n enjoy cricket scores on crap sms messages....by that time other parts of the world will be enjoying 3.5G n india still 2 steps behind of them...which chap said that india is a growing IT n Telecom industry... just subscribers are growing who are very happy to see those text messages. A very few %age of popul. is aware of 3G.All of my class fellows have got cell phones... they even don't know what is GPRS n MMS...
 
i hate sms. why would i even use mms? 🙂

Good for them, GPRS and MMS charges are obscene 😉
 
In India we get Cheap service....Cheap not only in terms of worlds lowest call rates but Cheap also in terms of Quality....Our ministers will never let this country move forward but only hold it so that it can crawl forward like a baby whereas every other developed countries are running....

Not at all

10paise/10kb is nothing man.....

a WAP site is about 15-20 kbs n 20paise per site in not bad at all.....
 
What if the site does not have a wap version? What if you want to access this forum from your cell. With 20paise per site rate, we will be paying thousands per month for net connections.

I dont access WEB sites frm my phone coz i knw it'll take ages to open.....

i just dload latest ringtones n walls frm WAP

those who wanna access WEB sites can go 4 unlimited plans....
