i saw an HP laptop(6600 or something model) went in to its BIOS, and saw that are very few options and there was no option to set 1st boot device = CD or similar. how do i boot from CD then? coz its automatically not booting from CD when a bootable CD is inserted.i tried pressing f1, f2, f8 and f10 buttons.help:cool2:

On my HP desktop, it gives an option to select boot device at boot time [without getting into BIOS], need to press F1 for that.

does it have a floppy drive? if there is no cd boot option, then you can use a bootable floppy with cd rom support.

HP like most big manufacturers has IMAGED HDD's with the OS in a hidden partition.Either use that option to access and reinstall the OS from hidden partition or the same set of keys to allow Boot from CD option setting
