newest airtel dth set top box model number???

hey anybody having airtel dth please tell me latest stb model number incase they come and install a older one then i should know????
 
DVR STB or HD STB or normal STB?

I have DVR STB, purchased 25days back (Pace model).. its not easy to detect from box but when u go to diagnostics menu

it shows following as a driver version Pace driver 1.104.2.3

i am assuming that i have got latest one!

some dates mentioned in diagnostics page mentions 1st July 2010.. so that cud mean that STB model is atleast 1 year old OR that particular tech. spec. is that old.
 
ok but i hAVE ORDERED NORMAL stb only............anybody else pls tell me what u can........thanx
 
some dates mention even Feb 2011... so that also mean that STB was made after that day...overall..there is no way to know if airtel gave STB from old stock or new stock.just make sure that box is opened infront of u.. or atleast it looks new.in my case STB was shining well...so thats a sign of an unused STB
 
ok thanx amish will make sure to get stb sealed pack, btw have u compared channel clarity with other providers ??? where does airtel stands???
 
Umm...i had cable operator STB.. so compared to cable operator..clarity is same.. not much difference.both are good quality.
 

bammm guys........its installed this morning took 1.5 hours installation is good clarity is good but i dont see any good difference in sound ,it doesnt sound like cd quality yaar, stb was packed 1st one was not working so he installed anpther one from his big bag which had atleat 10 more to be installed all my channels i think are coming and i didnt need to talk to cc till now lets hope i do not have to ever ahahahahah, hey amish can u see any info about connection in stb menu??? because i cant rite now but option is there in stb menu..................only other thing i think interactive services are not impressive , universal remote is awesome .

u mean.. account info page?.. account info page is just for TIMEPASS as of now 😀.. it gives no information abt ur account.
 
yes i thought so.....................btw what is signal strength and quality like in ur stb showing i have strength at 60, signal level is 184 but signal quality is only 20 or below , when i asked him he said sir Tata Sky me quality zyada hona chahiye airtel me signal stregth hona chahiye................

sometimes in fast scenes there is some pixelisation also but not too much just minor, what about your your experience???

and hey my stb model number is ds 260, and manufacturing and import date is 12/2010................ brand new.
 
From where did u find STB model?My signal strength is 223... quality 80%... earlier on insat 4CR i was getting 240... i have read ppl getting 240+ on SES-7 in other forums.airtel engineer said it shud be above 200...call airtel to fix ur signal strength

got discovery science activated within 1 minute of sending sms process............sweet. i am impressed. who says airtel dth is not good????

create ur account online (Mobile Prepaid, Broadband, Postpaid Mobile, DTH Services in India: airtel)

u can see ur balance
u can see ur subscription
u can see transactions
u can see program guide.
had u bought DVR, u cud also schedule recording

btw yes channel subscription is fast (shud be fast in other DTH too)... once i called CC (reaching them takes 3-4 tries)... and asked to add a channel.

he said request is accepted and keep STB on for 45mins.. but before he finished that statement, that channel got activated!
