hi all

I ran fresh install on new ssd, since couple of days its just keep displaying screen to select OS and it only has one OS i,e win 7.

I put value as 0 in time to display operating systems and it kept giving a insane high pitch alarm sound, which sounded like an memory error.

No new hardware has been added on system apart form new ssd with new win 7 install from usb

screen it gets stuck on, just need to keep selecting win 7 to make it start !

Well the menu is showing earlier version of Windows ?

Try running disk cleanup to check if it shows you anything related to previous windows ?

Issue was faulty key pressed on laptop, which almost caused me to sell this laptop off and caused me to install atleast 4 times, and don't know what all.

Solution was give by a very nice guy on sevenforums, also gave the command to remove boot screen from win7.

These laptop people including Intel go to such extreme length to their product marketting, don't know why they can't install simple thing in BIOS which gives detials of what is causing high pitch alarm, as all I kept hearing was high pitched sound which tells nothing !
