Hello,
I stay in Bangalore (Bommanhalli area) and have been using ACT broadband for last 7-8 months without issues. My current plan is Act Lightning ... 40 Mbps (earlier was 25 Mbps).
So far, I had no issues in downloading torrents, and, was getting full speed (3 - 4 MB) without issues.
However, from last one week, I have been noticing patterns that indicate that ACT has started throttling torrents. Example, on start, utorrent would start downloading at 1-2 MB and then suddenly drop to 0 MB, and continue between 150 - 250 KB. This behavior is consistent. Setting up port forwarding, encryption etc. does not help.
My suspicion is that all this throttling has started immediately after Fibernet plans were announced. What the heck is ACT selling at 40 Mbps? Full speed youtube videos?
Can anyone confirm similar experience?
Thanks
Manu
