Never Ending Mtnl Broadbandd Problem

Hi,
I use MTNL broadband for the last one year, from Jan 2007 when we were supposed to get 'up to 2 mbps' speed there are a lot of issues like frequent disconnection, low speed, unable to access certain sites like yahoo.com, hotmail.com etc. Even MTNL's own page http://register.mtnl.net.in/ cannot be accessed. One of the solutions for not being able to access sites is to use http://www.opendns.com/start/ or http://treewalkdns.com/ . My question is is it safe to use these options especially for accessing bank websites for Internet banking. Can some one help
 
we all are in the same boat dude , our complains only go to deaf hears i am sick and tired of my triband from the 1st of jan 07 and now most of time i am suffering from severe headaches as i am nt able to do my work which i need to start from scratch after frequennt discoonections.hate u mtnl just waiting for wimax.

I agree with you totally. Just now my connection went dead for last half hour (so also the 1504 number) but my neighbors connection was working !!! Different xchange i guess. The MTNL email-id stopped working 3 days ago and this crap which i mentioned above. I am now composing an email to the GM of this xchange (Prabhadevi Mumbai) lets see if that helps, am still debatiing with myself if I should send a cc to TRAI or maybe we should all send a petition to their main Babu's in Delhi. 🙂
