Hello group,

I have few questions in mind; I did google for them and found this forum instead. 🙂

I am new to broadband, just received the ADSL modem yesterday from BSNL, got the ADSL link activated today and yet to receive UID/PWD ( maybe tomorrow, BSNL guys should call, No?
 
it could be better to use the bridge mode connection as we need not worry much about forwarding portsetc (if port forwarding is required) . And also it is easy to control the network connection in this bridgemode for log on and log off . in router mode , switching on the modem means thatthe network is on . and switching it off is log-off !
 
Ah! Thank you seshu, I don't think I will need port forwarding but as you pointed out bridge mode should be easy to control, so I guess I will give it a first try.
